That's right, Jillian came home late this afternoon! What a Mother's Day for Judy.
Jill is two days away from being seven weeks old. She had been in the NICU for 47 days and both Judy and I had spent part of each of the last 52 days visiting St. Luke's Hospital in Boise. Babies with average cases of CDH typically spend 6-8 weeks in the NICU here. But due to the severity of Jill's condition, her surgeon told us after her surgery that he would be shocked if she was home in less than 2-3 months (June 1-July1 range).
Katelyn has yet to meet her new sister. The NICU unit had been closed to children until this past week due to the risk of illnesses. To help us out, Judy's sister took Katelyn home for the night to give us a chance to settle in with Jill. Katelyn will get to meet her tomorrow.
We will share more of what is going on soon, hopefully.
Today also marks one year since we moved from Bellingham to Boise. How time flies.
We have added new photos and videos on our Flickr site (http://www.flickr.com/photos/3apples).

We have been thinking about you and your family a lot. We are so happy for you that Jillian got to go home!! What a blessing.
We hope that the transition from hospital to home goes well. I know we are relieved to be at home. It's difficult, but nothing like being at Hotel de St. Lukes.
Take care, Sara, Matt, & Anja
